Job summary:

IMTT is looking to add an individual to their Corporate Development team who can collaborate closely with company leaders to further refine IMTT’s strategy and help execute on its key priorities to drive the next stage of IMTT’s growth. The Corporate Development Director will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth, enhance our competitive position, and create long-term value for the company.

Today, IMTT has 11 terminal assets spread across the U.S. and Canada with total storage capacity of over 40 million barrels, including the largest storage hub of renewable fuels feedstocks and finished products (St. Rose, LA) and the largest bulk liquids terminal on the Eastern Seaboard (Bayonne, NJ).

Responsibilities

  • Developing data-driven perspectives on IMTT, its customers, its competitors, and potential opportunities for organic growth
  • This person will assist in the identification, evaluation, and execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships
  • Lead all aspects of the deal process, including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, negotiation, structuring, and closing
  • Play a central role in preparing for and leading strategic discussions with other members of the Corporate Development team, senior management, and commercial counterparties
  • Prepare and present investment proposals, business cases, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Minimum of six years of relevant experience involving M&A, corporate development, and/or strategy
    • Experience working as an investor or for a private equity-backed business is advantageous

  • Hours of Work
    • Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
    • This position may require overtime and occasional weekend work as job duties demand
    • Occasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice
